Big Announcement, Super BIG

Hi! Redwood Area Camp is experiencing a transformation of sorts. Last year, towards the end of July, a young lady came up and offered her web skills to create a new web site. She was exactly what we needed and ao we got started in planning a simple website to promote our fantastic camp in the redwoods. All year, every few weeks, the plans had to change. This was true long before there a pandemic. With the Pandemic everything changed again and we had to pause campmeeting to 2021.

What could we do?

Our technology and communications teams stepped up and we start creating a Virtual Campmeeting. This is like nothing we have ever done before or seen before at Redwood Area Camp Meeting. We put all our efforts into finishing the website and producing a virtual camp meeting for the whole family.

It is an understatement to say it has been a very busy last few weeks. It is still a work in progress, as any website of a fluid nature tends to be, but redwoodareacamp.com has launched and you can now share it with your family and friends, so they can join us for the Redwood Area Virtual Campmeeting 2020 scheduled for July 23-25.

On the website, there will be blog posts written by Jada Lewis, Harry Salvini,  and others. There is a page where you can go if you have content from past camp meetings or programing suggestions for future camp meetings. We really could use photos. Other things that we will be adding are historical recordings of Pastor Morris Venden and others.

Then there is also the new YouTube Channel that has launched and needs subscribers.  Please signup on the website redwoodareacamp.com/signup and then click the “go to YouTube” button on the Home Page and then subscribe to the RAC channel. Please keep us in your prayers and we are in need of volunteers and donations.

Up Next: the virtual campmeeting and the videos are already rolling in. The videos are real and grounded just as you would expect from Redwood. And one really wonderful surprise is that all of us will get to sing along in Cradle Roll, make crafts in the afternoon, Praise with the Youth, and listen to top keynote speakers like Roy Ice, Richard Graham, and Chanda Nunes. There is some really good stuff here that you will not want to miss it. Yes, we will miss the onsite Campmeeting this year but there is something super special happening that only God could put together.

Not having an onsite camp meeting does save us some money, but there are still expenses and we need to keep our books balanced. We need about $40,000. You can help with this by donating all or a portion of your normal camp fees to Redwood or you can choose another amount. Anything you donate will keep us on track to restoring Redwood back to our desired capacity and functionality.
